We are committed to supporting the wellbeing of individuals, couples, children, students, churches, and the wider community through ethical, professional care.
We provide accessible counselling services and partner with organisations such as:
EAP providers, OCP, ACC Sensitive Claims, and WINZ to help ensure funded or subsidised support is available where possible.
Our Why

The FCM team is united in our shared vision to serve Christians and the wider community with compassion, professionalism, and faith-informed care. We believe deeply in the work we do and in the hope and healing that counselling can bring.

Each member of our team carries a personal “why” - a unique story of how God has guided and called us into this area of service. These individual journeys shape not only our faith, but also the heart we bring to our practice. We recognise that our own experiences, training, and gifts influence the way we listen, understand, and walk alongside those who seek support.

We know that one size does not fit all. Every person who comes to us has their own story, challenges, and needs. That is why FCM is made up of professionally trained counsellors with a diverse range of skills, therapeutic approaches, and life experiences.
A Message from the Founder & Director
I became a Christian in 2007. About a year later, I found myself sitting at the back of my local church, overwhelmed by my story - my past, my brokenness, and the weight I was still carrying.
At the end of the service, I bravely went forward and spoke with my pastor. That day he said something that changed the course of my life: “Sam, I have a scripture for you and I will pray for you - but you need counselling.”
The thought of counselling frightened me. Before becoming a Christian, I had experienced multiple counselling journeys. Some helped me limp forward; others left me feeling re-traumatised.
But I chose to trust his advice. I began Christian counselling, and it led me on a profound journey of healing and restoration. Through that process, I came to experience genuine freedom in my own mental and emotional health.
It was through this personal journey that a deep passion was born - to help others find the same freedom I had found. This calling led me to become a professional counsellor. After several years of working independently, I saw a growing need in the community for trusted, professional counsellors whose practice was clearly aligned with the Christian faith. Freedom Counselling Ministries was born out of that need.
FCM exists so there is no “second guessing” for Christians seeking support. We are what we say we are - a trusted team of professional Christian counsellors with a heart to serve and walk alongside others toward freedom.
